- List of Contact Groups
Step-by-Step Instructions
Log into your Emma Email Marketing account using your credentials.
- Ensure you have administrative access for group management.
Navigate to the 'Audience' tab in the Emma dashboard to view your contact lists and groups.
Locate and review both the larger group and smaller groups that you are planning to email. Ensure your lists are up-to-date.
- Regularly update your contact lists to maintain email accuracy.
Under the 'Audience' tab, create a new Subscription Group that includes all the recipients from the larger and smaller groups. Title it appropriately for easy identification.
- Name your subscription group clearly, such as 'Combined Email Group'.
Add members from both the larger and smaller groups into the newly created Subscription Group. This ensures everyone is consolidated under one list for mass mailing.
Create a suppression list to filter out duplicate contacts who may be in multiple groups. Navigate to 'Audience' > 'Suppression Lists', and set this up using the email addresses from all groups.
- Check for duplicates regularly if lists change frequently.
When setting up an email campaign, select the Subscription Group as your recipient list. Use the suppression list to ensure duplicates are excluded.
- Test with a small batch before full send to verify suppression settings.
Always send a test email to yourself or a colleague to ensure everything looks correct and no duplicates are evident.
- Use multiple devices to check formatting.
- Communicate with your team about the new system to avoid sending duplicates by mistake.
- Regularly update and manage your groups to ensure efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with privacy laws when handling email data.
- Avoid sharing sensitive contact information publicly.
